Ingredients Blueberry Margarita Recipe
1/2cup fresh blueberries
1.5 ounce fresh lemon juice
1 ounce vodka
1 ounces ( Simple Syrup)
1 ounce pineapple juice
1 ounce triple sec
Ice
2 tablespoon sugar
Sugar for rimming the glass
Blueberry Compote:
1 cup blueberries
2 tablespoon sugar
Simple Syrup:
1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
Directions: Blueberry margarita
Rub the rim of the glass with a lime wedge. Swirl the rims through a small pile of sugar.
Make the Blueberry compote-in a small saucepan, combine the blueberries and sugar over medium-high heat, whisking frequently. Heat for about 10 minutes until the mixture reaches a jelly-like consistency or is slightly thinner. Allow the compote to cool.
Make simple syrup-Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring, until sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool. Pour into a clean jar and seal with a tight-fitting lid; store in the refrigerator for up to one month.
In a cocktail shaker muddle the blueberries lemon juice until the blueberries are pulverized add blueberry compote. Add the vodka, Simple Syrup, pineapple juice, triple sec and a handful of ice to the shaker. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds, and then strain into the sugar glass. garnish with fresh blueberries.
