Cook:45minutes minutes
Total Time :1hour hour
Servings: 6
Ingredients
11/2 cup all-purpose flour
2-3 teaspoon cornstarch
teaspoon cayenne pepper
teaspoons garlic powder
teaspoon kosher salt
teaspoon seasoned pepper
3 pounds chicken wings
Cooking oil , I used peanut oil
1 cup DivineKuizine Jerk sauce
scotch bonnet for garnish
Chicken Marinade
1-2 teaspoon kosher salt
teaspoon seasoned pepper
2 teaspoon DivineKuizine jerk rub
Instructions
Place chicken wings in a large bowl and season with salt, pepper, and DivineKuizine jerk rub, ensuring the chicken is evenly coated. Set aside to marinate for at least 1 hour up to 24 hours.
Take a large bowl and mix together the flour, cornstarch, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to ensure everything is fully combined. Coat the wings completely with the flour mixture. Repeat this process for all the wings until they are all evenly coated. Then, place the chicken wings on a wire rack.
Heat 3 inches of oil in a cast iron pan or Dutch oven to 360°F.
Cooking oil
Cook the wings in groups of 10 for 10-15 minutes, or until they are crispy, browned, and cooked thoroughly. Use a slotted spoon to take them out of the oil and put them on a plate lined with paper towels or a wire rack to drain. As you begin frying the final batch of wings, start warming up the DivineKuizine jerk sauce.
To prepare DivineKuizine jerk sauce, heat it in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir the sauce while cooking. Once it starts bubbling, lower the heat to simmer and keep cooking.
After frying and draining all the wings, transfer them to a big bowl, coat with the DivineKuizine jerk sauce, and top with scotch bonnet pepper. Serve without delay.
