How to Make Your Own Refreshing Homemade Ginger Ale

While I typically steer clear of sugary carbonated beverages, ginger ale has always held a special place in my heart. ginger ale The zesty kick of ginger combined with the effervescence of the bubbles creates a symphony of flavors that dance on the taste buds. It's no wonder that even the occasional indulgence in ginger ale feels like a special treat for the senses.

And when it comes to homemade ginger ale, the experience is elevated to a whole new level. Crafting this beverage from scratch allows for a greater control over the ingredients, ensuring a fresher and more authentic taste. The process of making homemade ginger ale can be a therapeutic ritual, from simmering the ginger to infusing the syrup..

So, while my relationship with soda remains lukewarm at best, ginger ale continues to be the exception that I gladly make. Its unique flavor profile and occasional indulgence make it a delightful beverage that never fails to bring a spark of joy to my day.

In fact, I think this version is even more refreshing than the store versions, most likely due to the simple ingredients. I’ve never been a huge fan of soda, but ginger ale is an exception. I don’t drink it often, but every now and then I crave it. It’s a refreshing treat, and homemade ginger ale is no different!

Ingredients


  • 11/2 cup , sliced chopped ginger(skin on)

  • 2 1/2cups water

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • Sparkling Water

  • Ice

  • Lemon juice


    Instructions 

  • In a saucepan, combine the water , sugar with the sliced ginger. Bring to a boil, then simmer, uncovered for 20 minutes.

  • Remove from the heat, and using a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth, strain out the ginger pulp, reserving the remaining.

  • Combine the ginger liquid with lemon juice .Per serving, to a large glass, add ice, then 1/2 cup to 1 cup of the ginger liquid, followed by 1/2 cup to 1 cup of the sparkling water, depending on desired strength of the ginger ale. Stir and enjoy immediately.
