Jerk Hummus Kale Wrap

The best part about these wraps is the Jerk hummus, which gives these wraps a spice and nuttiness. In 3 minutes, you’ve got a delicious spread that’s much lower in fat, healthier and tastier than store-bought hummus. It’s creamy, packed with protein, and makes the perfect spread to go along with the kale and red peppers in these wraps.

Sauteed kale is easy to make and a nutritious . Just chop and cook in a hot skillet with aromatic onions, bell peppers, and garlic. These wraps, Jerk Hummus kale, red bell pepper, will become your favorite lunch. In addition to being incredibly fast & simple to make, satisfying, unprocessed, and nutrient-dense wrap. A must to put with your favorite wrap sandwich recipes.





Ingredients

Organic Flour Tortillas

Jerk Hummus:

1 can chickpeas

¼ cup olive oil

¼ cup tahini paste

1 small garlic clove

half lemon juice

1tsp salt

2 tsp DivineKuizine Jerk rub

2 tsp lemon juice

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, to drizzle over dip Directions 1. Place all ingredients into a food processor (extra virgin olive oil) and pulse until smooth. 2. Drizzle with olive oil.

Sauteed Kale:

1 ½ pounds kale, (about 3 large leaves, 7 to 8 cups chopped)

2 tablespoons olive oil

⅓ cup diced white onion, ¼-inch dice

1/3 cup diced red bell pepper, green pepper, yellow pepper ¼-inch dice

1 cloves garlic, peeled and minced

jalapeno, deseed and finely chopped

¾ teaspoon kosher salt

½ teaspoon black pepper, onion and garlic powder

red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon butter


Instructions

  • Remove the center stems from the kale and discard.

  • Chop the leaves into 2-inch pieces.

  • Thoroughly wash the kale with cool water and drain, it does not need to be completely dry.

  • Heat a large sauté pan over medium heat.

  • Add the olive oil, kale ,bell peppers, onions, garlic , jalapeno anSauté until softened, 1 minute. Add water.

  • cooking until the kale wilts, about 6 minutes.

  • Add all spices , butter and red pepper flakes stir to combine, and cook until tender, 5 to 6 minutes.

  • Taste and add more seasonings as desired.

  • Slightly cool Kale

Make Wrap:

Grab your tortillas and warm them until soft so that they’re easier to bend. Spread the Jerk Hummus all over the tortillas. Then divide the sauté kale (drain as much liquid) between the 4 tortillas and roll each like a burrito (you know, folding in the ends and rolling around the filling).
