Philly Cheese Sliders Recipe (Made with Hawaiian Sweet Rolls)

These Philly Cheese Steak Sliders with sweet Hawaiian buns is super quick and easy to make, this is perfect for parties and potlucks ! Thin slices of steak with peppers, onions, mushrooms and and cheese added to Hawaiian buns and coated with a garlic butter ;delicious. The sandwich is everything you’d expect in a classic Philly but in smaller size. I made two variations using thinly slice beef or make them vegetarian using Morning Star Veggie Crumbles sauteed with peppers, onions, mushrooms and provolone cheese in Hawaiian buns. dressed with DivineKuizine remoulade sauce.

Servings: 12 servings


Ingredients

  • 12 oz Hawaiian buns

  • 3/4 lb. beef, sliced thinly

  • Morningstar Grillers crumbles

  • 1/2 green pepper, thin strips

  • jalapeno peppers, thin strips and deseed

  • 1/2 onion, sliced

  • 4 oz mushrooms, sliced ( I used portobello mushrooms)

  • 8 slices provolone cheese

  • 3 Tbsp DivineKuizine remoulade sauce

  • 2 tsp olive oil or oil of your choice

  • 2 Tbsp butter

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp seasoned pepper

  • ¾ tsp onion powder

  • ¾ tsp garlic powder

  • ¾ tsp cayenne pepper -optional


Garlic Butter

  • 3 Tbsp butter, melted

  • ¼ cup fresh parsley , finely chopped

  • ¼ tsp garlic paste

Instructions:

  • Slice the mushrooms

  • Cut onions and peppers into thin strips.

  • In a skillet, heat 1 tsp oil with 1 Tbsp butter. Add the beef or crumbles, and seasoning sauté until almost fully cooked. Remove from skillet and cover to keep warm.

  • Add remaining 1 tsp oil and 1 Tbsp butter. Add the peppers, mushrooms and onions and season. Cook over medium heat until vegetables are tender. Add the steak or crumbles back into the skillet, and combine steak or crumbles to vegetables.

  • Cut the rolls in half removing the tops. Add the bottom of buns to a casserole dish or baking sheet. Remove the tops of the buns. Spread DivineKuizine remoulade over the top and bottom of buns.

  • Add cheese. Top the cooked beef or crumbles and vegetables and spread evenly.

  • Close buns. Prepare butter spread. Combine melted butter, parsley and garlic paste and mix. Generously brush the tops of rolls.

  • Bake for 15 minutes at 325°F, or until cheese completely melts.

  • Serve Hot and enjoy!
